چکیده
In this paper, a Lagrangian-Eulerian (LE) two-way coupling model is developed to numerically study the cavitation bubble cloud. model, gas-liquid mixture treated directly as continuous and compressible fluid governing equations are solved by methods in Eulerian descriptions. An isobaric closure exhibiting better consistency properties applied evaluate pressure of mixture. The dispersed gas/vapor bubbles tracked Lagrangian fashion, their compression expansion described modified Rayleigh-Plesset equation, which considers close-by flow other than these infinity for each bubble. performance present method validated number benchmark tests. Then, how cloud affects shape propagation wave when pulse travels through. end, three-dimensional simulation vapor cloud’s Rayleigh collapse carried out, induced extreme discussed detail. total number’s influence on size distribution during also analyzed.

Modeling of surface cleaning by cavitation bubble dynamics and collapse.
Surface cleaning using cavitation bubble dynamics is investigated numerically through modeling of bubble dynamics, dirt particle motion, and fluid material interaction. Three fluid dynamics models; a potential flow model, a viscous model, and a compressible model, are used to describe the flow field generated by the bubble all showing the strong effects bubble explosive growth and collapse have...
متن کاملCavitation Scaling Experiments With Headforms: Bubble Acoustics
Recently Ceccio and Brennen [1][2][3] have examined the interaction between individual traveling cavitation bubbles and the structure of the boundary layer and flow field in which the bubble is growing and collapsing. They were able to show that individual bubbles are often fissioned by the fluid shear and that this process can significantly effect the acoustic signal produced by the collapse. ...
متن کاملCavitation bubble dynamics.
The dynamics of cavitation bubbles on water is investigated for bubbles produced optically and acoustically. Single bubble dynamics is studied with laser produced bubbles and high speed photography with framing rates up to 20.8 million frames per second. Examples for jet formation and shock wave emission are given. Acoustic cavitation is produced in water in the interior of piezoelectric cylind...
متن کاملMicro-bubble emission boiling with the cavitation bubble blow pit
The miniaturization boiling (micro-bubble emission boiling [MEB]) phenomenon, with a high heat removal capacity that contributes considerably to the cooling of the divertor of the nuclear fusion reactor, was discovered in the early 1980s. Extensive research on MEB has been performed since its discovery. However, the progress of the application has been delayed because the generation mechanism o...
متن کاملCavitation inception from bubble nuclei.
The tensile strength of ordinary water such as tap water or seawater is typically well below 1 bar. It is governed by cavitation nuclei in the water, not by the tensile strength of the water itself, which is extremely high. Different models of the nuclei have been suggested over the years, and experimental investigations of bubbles and cavitation inception have been presented. These results sug...
